The Canadian Goat Society will conduct its business honestly and ethically wherever we operate within the country/world. As an Officially identified Canadian Goat Society (CGS); Member, Judge, Classifier, Employee, and/or Director. I am aware that I am always an ambassador/ representative of the Society and will uphold the interest of CGS and its membership where I will act in good faith and in the best interests of the CGS. Through my position as a member, an ambassador, representative or board member I will speak with one voice in dealing with the organization and the public. I will conduct myself when interacting with my colleagues, staff, clients or membership with respect, ethically and professionally. Therefore, at all CGS sponsored events I will represent the Society with the utmost respect, integrity, honesty, professionalism with no unethical and/or illegal conduct. As a Member, Judge, Classifier and/or other established person designated by CGS I will follow all rules as outlined by the CGS within the body of Rules, Regulations and Constitution. In all areas I shall always strive to improve my skills and maintain my professionalism. This will include but is not limited to; my appearance, evaluation, presentation and relations with the membership. I also understand that personal feelings must remain outside of my judgment when operating within CGS. I will ensure that I have all available information prior to deciding in order to not demonstrate biases. I understand that the organization wishes to continually grow and thrive, and that my actions will be of utmost importance to ensure this is possible for the organization. The success of the society and promotion of The Canadian Goat Society programs is paramount to being accessible to all members when possible. I will do my best to attend all board meetings and encourage a friendly working relationship with board members, staff and the CGS membership. As a member of the CGS and in the best interests of the CGS, I will reinforce majority decisions outside the boardroom. So that members and the public receive a clear, consistent, honest message that honours the CGS, even if my personal views differ. I will follow these guidelines as established by CGS in order to continually promote the organization in a professional manner. Following these guidelines will not cease after CGS events but will transfer over to daily life such as any CGS discussions and/or social media relating to CGS.
